Meet Antony: The Driving Force Behind AlarmMaster Pro’s Next Chapter

Life at home? Let’s just say it’s wonderfully chaotic! I live with my wife, our energetic dog, and three extremely sporty children. Most of my evenings and weekends are spent crisscrossing the country for various tournaments and training camps. We should probably start paying rent at some of these venues by now.

Education and Career

After two years in college and five years at university studying Computer Science, I quickly landed my first developer role at PC Data Services, the team behind the original Alarm Master. It was a small company, so I wore many hats—everything from sales and support to training. But my real job, squeezed between all the chaos, was software engineering.

I developed several versions of Alarm Master, including the original Alarm Master Mobile for Windows CE, its successors for Windows Mobile, and later Android and iOS versions—most likely the first-ever mobile apps for engineers in the fire and security sector. I also created the original Base Software, a streamlined, single-user version of Alarm Master.

Over the years, I’ve worked closely with fire and security clients across the UK, often spending two or three days a week at their offices. I’ve helped them train staff, improve workflows, and truly understand their needs. This hands-on experience has given me deep insight into how these companies operate.

Eventually, I transitioned into Product Management, which felt like a natural fit. My favorite part of the job had always been working with customers and stakeholders—seeing firsthand how the software we built could make a real difference in people’s lives. I find it incredibly motivating to work in an industry that helps protect lives and property, and it drives me to keep improving the software that supports this mission.

Today, I’m proud to lead a fantastic UK-based team working on the cloud-based successor to Alarm Master—AlarmMaster Pro.

My Vision

I want AlarmMaster Pro to be the go-to, all-in-one solution for fire and security companies in the UK. Not only should it replace Alarm Master, but it should surpass it in every way imaginable.

My Principles

When I started at PC Data Services, the company’s principles were clear: we’d do whatever it took to help our customers, we were honest about what our software could do, and we worked as a close-knit team.
