Meet Mathew: The Man Behind the Mission at AlarmMaster Pro

Yes, my name is spelt with only a single ‘T’—something that has been a lifelong challenge for me. You try finding a personalised mug with the name “Mathew”! Along with this unique name, I have a busy household with four children and, as fate would have it, four dogs.

A Journey Through Varied Careers

My career path has been anything but ordinary. After completing my A Levels, I joined the Royal Military Police—a role that didn’t exactly make me popular. But I didn’t stop there; I went on to become a Military Physical Training Instructor. I’ve never been one to rest on my laurels and have always sought to expand my skills. Over the next seven years, I specialised in Radio Communications, Patrol Attack Dog handling, Arms Explosive Search Dog handling, and Close Protection.

After leaving the military, I decided to transition to civilian life. I joined Her Majesty’s Prison Service, where I worked on the landings for a few years before feeling the itch to branch out again. This led me to join the tactical response team, become a national-level hostage negotiator, and run the training department of a maximum-security prison. During my night shifts, I even managed to complete the IT & Communications degree I had started earlier.

A New Path in IT

When my youngest son was born, my wife and I thought, “Perhaps a job where people aren’t trying to kill you would be a good idea!” So, I made the decision to change careers and move into IT. Since then, I’ve managed IT operations for companies ranging from 10 to 6,500 staff members. Now, I have the opportunity to bring my “unique set of skills” to managing everything at AlarmMaster Pro.

My Vision for AlarmMaster Pro

My vision is to run the company according to the standards and values I’ve carried with me throughout my career. Ideals like “Training objective 401 – Honesty and Integrity” and “Exemplo Ducemus” (By Example We Lead) are etched into my very being.

At AlarmMaster Pro, my commitment is to treat both our staff and clients with respect, honesty, and integrity. I fully intend to lead by example in all these aspects.

We have a fantastic product with a proven track record, and we’ve already mapped out our plan to enhance and expand it over the next 6 to 12 months. I’ve communicated my expectations clearly to the team:
